The collection and the story of Blue Willow China List of Companies, produces

The story of Blue Willow

I gave credit to China willow pattern, seen at least two different dates. It would be Thomas Turner, who is said to have introduced the famous design in around 1780. The original copper plate for its design was engraved by Thomas Minton and is still in Coalport China. Most of the reported story says that the design of grazing has been called the creation of Josiah Spode, a derivative of an original ChineseMandarin. Spode willow pattern developed her around 1790.

The traditional willow design always with a beautiful house with a large Chinese willow, a small bridge with three figures, a humble servant of the house at the foot of the bridge, a small Chinese boat and of course the famous love birds out to pasture. The romantic tradition of the project could add to the popularity over the years.

The story goes something like this .......

Longfirst, in the days when China was ruled by emperors, a Chinese mandarin, Tso Ling, in the magnificent pagoda under the branches of apple trees on the right side of the bridge on which the life of the roof slopes famous willow tree, and, what is the 'elegant lines of the fence seen. Tso Ling was the father of a beautiful girl, Kwang-se, who was betrothed to an old but rich businessman. But she fell in love with Chang, her father used. The lovers flee to the Sea to the cottage on the island. The mandarin pursued and caught the lovers and wanted to kill him, when the gods transformed them into a pair of doves. These are seen in the eyes looked at the line drawing. A long poem old Staffordshire and ends with the verse pattern "to be high in the sky over the plate often cited two birds seen: these are the ghosts of Chang and Kwang-SE, A pair of twins ever"Love".
