What is Pop Art? Pop Art as a movement started in 1950 in the United Kingdom and the United States, their art takes from the popular culture of mass against the art world elite. Today the term is good to have an impact for the arts as an expression of traditional culture of the masses.
While Andy Warhol Soup Cans made his fame in the United States, and exciting new art in Japan was a starting point and take a course for themselves.
Tanaami and AmericanInfluences
One of the first and most important Japanese pop artist Keiichi Tanaami. He studied at the Musashino Art University and has been a working designer to take after graduation. It was not long before the company he worked for the cause of his busy schedule with other work. These creative activities including experiments with animation, lithograph, illustration and editorial design.
In the late '60s, Tanaami traveled in the United States, whereHe had a meeting with Andy Warhol influence in his legendary Factory in New York. He was very happy to have met Andy while he was here his screen prints and much of his work was inspired by the style of Andy. Later, after moving to San Francisco, the Japanese artist work was very colorful and psychedelic. He has also designed a cover for Jefferson Airplane.

Anime and Manga
Perhaps the best known contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami is today. He is the modern style of art known as "Super Flat" for a merger between art tradition derived by new concepts, attributed in part to manga and anime. These works of art are known for their flat surfaces of color images.
While Andy Warhol in 1960Murakami turned in the consumer technology is changing the art in consumer products. He says he knows how much the Japanese love the 'art very, very few can afford the elite art. He creates art at affordable prices can do anything. His art is in the form of toys, paintings, sculptures, dolls and figurines, T-shirts, videos and any other type of product is easily accessible to consumers. Graffiti and child figures
Like Murakami, Japanese artist Yoshimoto Nara's his style of manga and anime. His work is, in general, in the painting of graffiti style and the characters often cute and childish, but also darkCharacteristics. These figures come from a link between childhood memories and an input of contemporary style. What you get is a consumer product unique masterpiece.
