History
The doll is a form of creative Momiji Japanese Kokeshi doll. The traditional kokeshi doll was developed and northern Japan in the Edo period, more than 150 years. These wooden dolls Japanese big head, long body and no arms or legs. They have been slow to sell as souvenirs to tourists during the winter months for Hot Spring Spas. Since these were taken home in the countryside,several fields began to develop them.Each region had its own colors and patterns, while the same general shape of the dolls. After the second world war, a new form of Kokeshi dolls began to rise. These dolls were known as Creative Kokeshi. The version of the creative Kokeshi allows a wider range of shapes, colors and accessories as well.
About Momiji
The doll was a gift Momiji developed in the United Kingdom in October 2005 as a friendship. L 'Randoms The first set was called, and there were twelve dolls in the set. Today, The Randoms have 7 generations. Together with the Randoms are set for parties, Christmas, dolls wanderlust, and the gathering of love. Each doll is hand painted and decorated so that they are all different and unique gifts. The mystery of Momiji is that together with the fuzzy warm feeling when you get one at the bottom of each doll is a map hidden inside.These cards tell each doll and a note care of the person you want the doll. Each has a different mood often accompanied.
